FCFD responds to open burn

G412 and G414 were dispatched at 1:17pm on Wednesday to the 18000 block of Waterford Road on the report of an unknown type of open burn.

Upon arrival, crews found driftwood being burned near the water. Crews stretched an 1 3/4 line for extinguishment and used the available tank water.

The FCFD had six firefighters and one cadet respond to this call. All units were back in quarters by 2:45pm.

Firefighters respond to water leak on Arrowhead

The FCFD was dispatched at 7:11pm on Tuesday evening to Arrowhead Drive in Fredericktown for a water leak inside the structure. The occupant wanted the water shut off.

The FCFD had a total of 11 firefighters and one cadet respond to the service call to assist the resident.

FCFD responds to Morrow County structure fire

CH411, T417, G412 were dispatched at 9:54pm on Sunday night to the 6000 block of County Road 76 in Morrow County on a residential structure fire. This was a mutual-aid with Mount Gilead Fire Department.

FCFD had a crew first assigned as a RIT team for the incident and then bumped up to interior, assisting with overhauling the structure and searching for extension. A second crew maintained the hydrant nearest to the scene and assisted with filling tankers.

The FCFD had a total of 13 firefighters respond to the call, and had an engine crew standby on station. All units were back in quarters by 12:19am.

FCFD responds to Richland County on mutual-aid fire

CH411, E419, E413, T417, G412 were dispatched on Sunday morning at 3:52am to the 7000 block of Divelbiss Road on the report of a fully involved residential structure fire. This was a mutual-aid run with Worthington Township in Richland County.

FCFD crews stretched 1 3/4 attack lines from the Worthington Twp engine for suppression. FCFD assisted with overhaul and other fireground operations. T417 and E413 shuttled water from the Village of Butler.

The FCFD had 12 firefighters respond to the call. All FCFD units were back in quarters by 7:45am.

Fire destroys Lucerne Road Barn

CH411, E419, E413, T417, R415, and G414 were dispatched at 4:18pm on Tuesday evening to the 14000 block of Lucerne Road in Wayne Township on the report of a fully engulfed barn fire with an exposure nearby.  Tankers from College Township and the Big Walnut Joint Fire District (Morrow County) responded mutual-aid on the call

When CH411 arrived to scene, he found a full engulfed barn fire, roughly 20×30 that was mostly on the ground with a home nearby to the north.  Two 1 ¾” attack lines were stretched from E419, and the incoming crews worked to coordinate fire suppression.  Crews worked to tear apart the piles of metal siding and wooden structure to get access the fire burning underneath.

Water supply was established using a hydrant at the nearby Delco Water plant on Lucerne Road.  Tankers were used to shuttle water to the scene.

The original call on the fire was from the neighbor.  No one was at the property at the time of the fire.  The cause of the fire is undetermined.  The structure and contents were a total loss.

In total the FCFD had 14 firefighters and one cadet respond to the call. All units were back in quarters by 6:06pm.

Berlin Township Trash fire burns out of control

CH411, G412, and G414 were dispatched at 6:27pm on Monday evening to the 11000 block of Yankee Street in Berlin Township on the report of a trash fire.

When CH411 arrived to scene, he found a trash fire that had gotten out of control and had burned roughly a half acre and was still moving. G414 was used for suppression, and the crew utilized a rake to break up any debris that was still on fire.

The occupants at the property were advised of the Ohio burning laws.

In total the FCFD had nine firefighters respond to the call. All units were back in quarters by 7:09pm.

FCFD mutual aid to Lundy Lane

CH411, E419, T417 were dispatched at 2:08am on Monday morning to the 7000 block of Lundy Lane in Liberty Two on the report of residential structure fire. This was a mutual-aid call with the Mount Vernon Fire Department.

All FCFD units were cancelled while enroute to the scene. The FCFD had 9 personnel respond to the call. All FCFD units were back in quarters by 2:28am.

Firefighters respond to pump basement of Morris Twp. home

CH411, G412, G414, R415 were dispatched at 2:06am on Sunday morning to the 14000 block of Upper Fredericktown Road in Morris Township to assist a homeowner with water in the basement.

Upon arrival to the scene, crews found a large amount of water in the basement. Firefighters assisted in getting the homeowners pump drafting water to clear out the basement.

All crews were back in quarters by 3:09am. The FCFD had a total of 8 firefighters respond to the call.

Firefighters respond to Mt Gilead Road for CO Alarm

CH411 and R415 were dispatched at 1:51pm to the 9000 block of Mount Gilead Road on Monday afternoon on the report of a carbon monoxide alarm sounding, and no patients.

Upon arrival to the scene of the large factory, the alarm was found sounding in the rear of the building by CH411. Occupants stated that they smelled something around an hour before. Prior to arrival of the fire department, the business began ventilating the area. The source was located by firefighters.

The FCFD had a total of four firefighters respond to the call, with R415 responding with one firefighter. All personnel were back in quarters by 2:30pm.

FCFD responds mutual aid to Mount Vernon

CH412 and E419 were dispatched at 4:44pm on Friday afternoon to the 13000 block of New Delaware Road in Clinton Township on a fire alarm. This was a mutual-aid run with the Mount Vernon Fire Department.

The FCFD had 8 firefighters and two cadets respond to this call. All units were back in quarters by 5:21pm
